Habitat - These habitats occur mainly in the West and include rocky mountain cliffs, large boulder screes, canyon walls, cliffs bordering rivers, old gravel quarries, and bare rock faces with ledges. The sites appear inhospitable and have little or no vegetation.
Nesting sites are inaccessible to most predators and some birds, like the Canyon Wren and Rock Wren, primarily live here.
